This report asserts that a fundamental flaw exist in current systematic combat model--the use of the so-called present-state decisionmaking paradigm. This paradigm is shown not only to be unrealistic but also to rely on hidden models. The report also presents and examines a proposed alternative--the future-state decisionmaking architecture of the Generalized Value System GVS. This architecture is shown to be more realistic than present-state decisionmaking, yet practical to implement. The necessary elements of the GVS are discussed in detail, and an example presented. Areas of the proposed GVS architecture which will require additional research are also discussed. (SDW)

This study analyses planning and decision-making methods. It is concerned with the soundness both theoretically and practically of the planning process used for the False Creek area of Vancouver for the period Based on a case study, the evolution of the planning process from planning for decisions which resulted in further planning to planning for action is analysed. On current and future Enterprise Architecture By Adrian Grigoriu on Aug AM 5 Vote 0 Votes Philip Allega of Gartner replied on my blog with " Future state first current state last " to the position stood last week on the debate on current and future EA.
Leo de Sousa shared a blog that covered his experience of doing the current state first, supporting Adrian Grigoriu’s response to my posting last week entitled Applying EA to Your Life.
I do, in fact, support the contention that current state is an “input to gap analysis” and is “useful for benchmarking”, but I would like to respectfully contest the following notions, according to.
Create a Future State Value Stream Map One of the most common methods of creating Material Flow and Storage plan is to develop a Value Stream Map (VSM). VSM will define the boundaries of the project and what improvement activities need to be completed. VSM is a “map” showing the flow of material and information from order to Size: KB.

Road Map and Future State It is very easy to get lost into the maze of technologies once we get into the weeds of implementation.

I think it’s generally well understood that process improvement should first start by understanding the current state before designing the future state. Examining architecture as more than a set of diagrams and documents, but as a set of decisions that either drive a system to success or doom it to failure, the book provide methods for integrating.
Becker and Gerhart () have classified these components into three levels: the system architecture (guiding principles), policy alternatives and processes and practices.

This book covers a wide range of enterprise architecture (EA) issues in a way that reflects many aspects of a global EA discussion that has been going on for nearly 20 years.
The three major viewpoints of architecture described in previous version (e.g., Operational, Technical, and System) have been changed to more specific viewpoints that relate to the collection of architecture-related data which can be organized as useful information for the manager in decision-making.

Technical, business, operating, system, logical, and physical views of the architecture are typically outdated or nonexistent. Misalignment between IT and the strategic intent, inability to establish a common IT architecture, and a highly redundant and undocumented as-is architecture will result in high operations and maintenance costs.
